Only Film Independent Members vote to determine the winners of the annual Spirit Awards. Film Independent members are a community of filmmakers, film industry leaders, and film lovers that champion artist-driven film. Nominee Screening Series: Starting in January 2013, all voting members and a guest can attend free screenings of all nominated films in Los Angeles or New York. Many screenings include a Q&A with cast and crew.
