Tyler Davidson


Tyler Davidson producer of Take Shelter, is the co-founder and co-principal of the newly formed production company Low Spark Films, and an award-winning producer who has worked extensively in many areas of film and television production. He is currently producing Compliance, a psychological thriller from acclaimed writer-director Craig Zobel (Great World of Sound). Davidson previously produced Swedish Auto, written and directed by Derek Sieg, and starring January Jones and Lukas Haas. The film, which Variety called “A study in state-of-the-art indie filmmaking,” premiered at the 2006 Los Angeles Film Festival and was released by IFC Films. Davidson also produced The Year That Trembled, for which he received the Midwest Independent Filmmaker of the Year Award at the 2002 Cleveland International Film Festival. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Davidson served as president of the Los Angeles based production company the Lab Entertainment Group, and most recently as the co-principal of the Los Angeles and Ohio based production company Strange Matter Films.
