MYNETTE LOUIE is a New York-based independent film producer. She produced Marshall Lewy’s California Solo (Sundance 2012), Doug Karr’s Art Machine (Woodstock 2012), P. Benoit’s Stones in the Sun (Tribeca 2012) and Tze Chun’s Children of Invention (Sundance 2009). She was the consulting producer on Olivia Silver’s Arcadia (Crystal Bear Award, Berlinale 2012), executive produced Ishai Setton’s The Kitchen (GenArt 2012 Closing Night), and co-produced Andrew Bujalski’s Mutual Appreciation (SXSW, Top 10 films of 2006–EW, Village Voice, Film Comment, Artforum, etc.). She is in post-production on Tze Chun’s Eye of Winter.

Mynette was a fellow of the 2008 Rotterdam Lab, 2009 Sundance Creative Producing Lab and 2010 Berlinale Talent Campus, was in Film Independent’s Fast Track film financing market with two different projects, and has served on advisory committees for the IFP and the Sundance Labs. She was named on Ted Hope’s inaugural “21 Brave Thinkers Of Truly Free Film” list.

Mynette previously worked at the Hawaii Film Office, where she authored the state’s production tax credit, and in business development and marketing at, Jupiter Research, and Time Magazine. A native New Yorker, Mynette graduated from Harvard University, where she studied Chinese literature and film.
