A working independent film producer since 2002, Miranda de Pencier is president of her own company, Northwood Productions. Earlier in her production career, she was the director of development for both divisions of Robert Redford’s production company, Wildwood Enterprises and South Fork Pictures. The features that Ms. de Pencier has produced include Cake, starring Heather Graham, David Sutcliffe, and Taye Diggs; Pu-239 for Beacon Pictures/HBO, which was executiveproduced by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney and which was honored by both the Art Directors Guild (ADG) and American Cinema Editors (ACE); and, also with Olympus Pictures, Adam, starring Hugh Dancy and Rose Byrne. The Toronto native began her career as an actress and singer, performing on stage, television, and the big screen. Among her notable credits were playing Josie Pye in Kevin Sullivan’s beloved miniseries Anne of Green Gables, and performing in the Canadian premiere stagings of Les Miserables and Aspects of Love.

At Film Independent, we recognize that theatrical screenings provide the ideal experience for viewing the Spirit Award-nominated films. The free, members-only screening series in LA and NY are for voting members of Film Independent and IFP. Membership card and ID are required for admittance.
Voting members receive priority access. Members are allowed to bring one guest if seating is available. Guests will be seated on a space available basis.
